I want you to enjoy this experience right from the start. Preserving your memories is not something I take lightly, it is something so valuable. I want you to have a great experience and walk away at the end with a quality product in your hand that you treasure.
The Session.
I like to keep sessions relaxed and fun. I want you to be yourselves and enjoy our time together. I want you to feel that you can come as you are and embrace the mess and the intricacies of your family. These are the special things that make you, you and we want to capture all of it! I will have a plan for our time at the location but sometimes, especially if there are kids involved, we will have to go with the flow. Part of capturing kids naturally is allowing them to explore and play, so we will have time for that.
The Location.
There are several locations I have hand picked because of certain factors, the main one being the lighting. I have a range of locations to suit different preferences such as beach, native bush, greenery, grasses and water. I am happy to chat about what location suits you best and am open to other suggestions if you have them too.
The Time of Day.
I conduct my outdoor sessions in the first hour after sunrise or the last hour before sunset. This is an artistic preference and the specific lighting I use to achieve the effect you see in my photos. Indoor sessions don't have this restriction and can be done at any time during the day.
What If.
Who knows we cannot control the weather or whether someone gets sick! It can be frustrating for you if you have planned everything out around a certain date and you can't go ahead. If on the day of your booking, the weather is too wet or windy to proceed or someone gets sick, all we can do is reschedule. I'm usually pretty flexible and can wait up until a few hours before to make a decision. Feel free to message or call me on my mobile if you are concerned about the weather for your session.
Pricing.
I want this whole process from beginning to end to be an enjoyable experience. I don’t want to give you more on your to do list once we are finished - your time is valuable too. I love to tell your story through your session photos and I don’t want to put you through the task of choosing which special memories you want to keep. For these reasons, where I can, I have decided to offer all inclusive packages that take all of those things out of the equation so that you can walk away with a full heart.
Session Fee $300
Includes:
Your session of up to 90 minutes in length, at a location or in your own home
Phone or video call with Vanessa prior to your session to get to know each other and chat about what you want to capture most in you photos
Outfit advice and inspiration
Advice on the best location to suit your family
A personal online gallery to view your session images that have been individually edited with love and care
